"You named it Sylvia...?" Alonso stares at Duncan while the boy shows him his finished homework. "Yeah, it doesn't have a name so I said Sylvia. It never said it had to be a name that matched gender, for all we know its a butch chick in there."
Alonso can't help but laugh and reads over his work, his glasses sliding to the end of his nose while he corrects it.
"Why don't you sing anymore? You used to sing for me and you don't anymore." Duncan tilts his head slightly and Alonso sighs. "What did Sylvia tell you?"
"Nothing...I want to hear it from you anyway." He said softly, looking down at his knees while Alonso sat up more and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Bit of a bad memory with that song, love. It sang it while it..." Alonso gulped on his own words as his fingertips traced over his own hip. Duncan frowned.
"...you know there are enough good memories to go with that song so you don't have to do that." Duncan said, nuzzling his head against Alonso's shoulder.
Alonso sighs and wraps his arm around Duncan, petting his shoulder gently. "There are days I forget but Nicholas doesn't. I see his face when he hears it. I can't really bear to see him look like that. In a way it won for that fact alone."
Duncan frowns more and chews on the inside of his cheek. "No. No it didn't win because tomorrow I'm making ALL of you sing until that thing loses." Duncan growls and gets off of the couch, Alonso frowning after him.
"I thought it was named Sylvia..." Alonso says quietly.
Duncan turns to look at him and shake his head. "Yeah, I thought so too."
