Nico pouts, nodding. “One last cuddle?” he asks. He has a feeling he’ll be pretty clingy when Jason and Will get back. Will squishes into the recliner with Nico, all of their animals (minus Gary) curled around them. “I’ll keep you updated,” Nico says. “And I’ll be good. No testing my limits.” Will nods, kissing Nico softly. “I’ll make sure to check in. Promise me you’ll call me out if I don’t. I love you, sweetheart.” Nico settles his head on Will’s shoulder, soaking in the last minutes.
Will really does enjoy the time away. Not away from Nico, but away from school and stress. His family is amazing, and Jen should be having the baby right after the wedding. Will’s always loved visiting his family and spending time with them, but he’s ready to be back home when his flight lands and he takes a cab back to Nico’s apartment. Nico hadn’t reporting anything bad about Alecto, and he seemed to have had a decent holiday, all and all. Will’s nearly bouncing on his heels when he gets up to Nico’s apartment. Nico had said he was home and waiting for Will. His blood runs cold when he sees the apartment door open, and it turns to ice when all he finds in the place is a single note on Nico’s bed.
