"it's a new day, let's go" - Bo Larson x reader

There’s a knock on your front door and you smile as you race to answer it, knowing exactly who it will be. Upon opening the door you see your boyfriend beaming down at you and he says

“It’s a new day Y/N, let’s go” you chuckle as you step out, making sure you have the keys, your bag and phone before closing the door behind you.

“And where exactly are we going Bo?” you ask and he chuckles, leaning down to place a kiss on your cheek

“That my beautiful girl is a surprise” he says and you smile as you follow him down to his truck.

You were at the counter in the middle of the diner, having been in conversation with your boyfriend of two years Bo Larson, you turn on the seat as you stare out at the window, as you see one of the girls from school. You had last seen about 4 or 5 months ago. She was holding in her arms a newborn baby, and it all of a sudden clicked in your mind why she had left. 

“Babe, Ah was just wonderin’ if ya wanted fries with ya-” he pauses as he watches you looking at the young mum and her baby, the sweet look on your face, and he can’t help but smile a little. He knew how much you dotted on younger children, had seen how good you were with the younger girls in the pageant, and how you cared for the children you looked after at after school care. He knew one day you would make an amazing mum and he couldn’t wait to be the one to experience all of that with you.

“Babe, is there something ya want ta tell me?” he whispers in your ear and you jump. You hadn’t realised that he had gotten so close, how long had you been staring. You shake yourself and give your boyfriend your full attention

“Sorry bub, what were you saying?” you query.

“Was just wondering if ya wanted fries with your burger?” he asks and you nod your head, a deep blush on your cheeks at having been caught.

You had been blasting the heat pump in your car to work, as temperatures were a measly 20 degrees (farenheit) in the city it was one of the coldest days so far this winter. And winter had only just began. You had on one of your thickest jumpers, and a woolen jacket on top of that and it was barely enough to keep the cold out. When you parked the car in the diner car park you sighed as you contemplated risking your job so that you could stay warm. A tap on the window has you rethinking that as you see the friendly smile of your boyfriend and co-worker, Bo, was standing there holding out a puffer jacket and waiting for you to step out of the car. You quickly gathered your things together and pulled the keys out of the ignition before jumping out and into Bo’s arms

“Hey there sweetcheeks, thought you might be needing this” he says as he wraps the puffer jacket around you as he pulls you into his arms and holds you as close to him as possible, you feel his body heat radiating through you and it wards off the chill.

“Hey Bo, thanks for meeting me out here” you say placing a kiss on his cheek

“Your very welcome, lets get you inside huh?” he suggests and you nod, grateful for this adorably caring man.

You sighed as you closed the boot of the car, after putting the last of your bags in your car. Today was a hard day for you as it was the day you were leaving for university, across the state to New York were you had been accepted into Juilliard in their Dance program, having done nothing but dance at one of the top schools in Texas since you were 2 years old and sending a most impressive audition tape through, you had been accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts. Dance had been your passion and your whole world since you were able to move and so it had seemed only fitting that you set your goals on such a prestigeous school. Something that your family and your boyfriend had been incredibly proud of. Bo Larson, had been to every single one of your dance recitals, dance rehearsals and anything else dance related he could make it to or attend since you had started dating back in eighth grade. Your parents had been very strict on Bo when you’d first started dating but when he’d shown up to your first couple of recitals and competitions they had seen how committed to you he was and had become a bit more lenient on your relationship. But now, here you stood at the back of your car looking up at your boyfriend and you feel tears falling down your cheeks, he pulls you into his arms and reaches up, wiping your tears with his hand

“Baby girl, this isn’t goodbye, not if we can help it. Besides you’ll find your way back to me, I know you will” he whispers in your ear and you look up at him and give a small smile.

“I love you Bo”

“I love you too, Y/N, my sweet Y/N. Now go on, go show those other pupils all that amazing talent you have and knock them dead” he says and you chuckle, placing a kiss on his lips for the last time, as you begin the start of your relationship at long distance

“You can shine my sweet Y/N” Bo whispers to you as he waves to you from the curb as the car pulls out onto the road, your parents coming along for the ride so that your not making the journey by yourself. You wave until you turn out of your street, and then you hear a ping from your cell phone and look down to see a text message from Bo

Dumplin – Bo Larson “I need a date for this new years party and you're the only reasonable person around”

You wring your hands together nervously as you make your way up to the grill, standing behind your immediate boss and supervisor. He barely even realises that your there, until you clear your throat and he turns around to look at you, his glance quickly looking out at the front of the store and when he sees that there only a couple of patrons sitting in the store he gives you his full attention

“What can I do for you Y/N?” he asks and you look down at the ground taking a deep breath before you look up and say

“I need a date for this new years party and you're the only reasonable person around” you say and he raises an eyebrow

“What about Gerald? Wasn't he the boy you were dating?” he asks, a hint of hurt in his voice and you sigh

“We broke up before winter break started” you say and his jaw drops

“I'm sorry” he says and you shake your head

“No your not” you say meeting his gaze and he's about to protest before he takes a step towards you and places a hand on your shoulder

“Ok, you're right. I'm not sorry. You've known how I've felt about you for a while now” he admits and you nod. It was true, you had known how Bo had felt about you for a while, almost eight months in fact and even though you had picked Gerald over Bo, your heart had never truly belonged to him, as it had always belonged to Bo, had done since the very first day you meet the college boy in your freshman year of high school. He takes another step towards you, the distance between you almost none existent now, and you can feel his breath against your cheek, feel the warmth of his body against yours and you shiver, he leans down, his right hand tilting your head up to cup your chin whilst his left arm winds its way around your waist, his gaze flickers from your eyes to your lips and back again and you let out a breath as he presses his lips against yours in the first of many kisses. When the kiss is broken he leans his forehead against yours and whispers

“I will go with you to this party, but on one condition” he says and you raise an eyebrow

“What condition?” you ask and he smiles at you

“You accept the fact that you're in love with me and you go as my girlfriend” he tells you and you think it over for mere seconds before you nod and grin as you place a gentle kiss against his lips

“Okay, let's do it” you say and he chuckles before he presses another kiss against your lips.

“I can help you but you've got to want to be helped” with Bo Larson

He stood there in front of you concern in his eyes as he cups your cheek in his palm, using his thumb to wipe away yet another tear. He was worried about you. Worried about how much hurt you had been through and how you never seemed to let anyone in.

“Y/N, I can help you but you've got to want to be helped. Is that what you want? To get better?” he asks and you look up into his gaze, seeing the concern and the love he had for you in his eyes. You don't break eye contact with him as you nod your head

“I want to get better Bo, for me and for us” you say and he smiles, leaning forward and places a kiss on his cheek

“I'm glad,” he says before he drops his hand from your cheek and laces his fingers with your own and walks you over to a park bench. The two of you were just talking, letting your walls down slowly but surely as the hours passed.

Midnight – Bo Larson x reader

As you sit in the back of his pickup truck, the cold winters breeze blowing all around you catching the strands of your hair that had managed to escape from your ponytail and kept blowing in your face cause Bo to reach out and cup your cheeks in his hand

“I'm glad you decided to join me out here tonight Y/N” he says and you smile, it had been a while since you had seen your boyfriend since he was out of state for university and you were still at high school, a senior preparing yourself for your own journey but you couldn't imagine leaving your life behind, let alone your boyfriend.

“I'm glad you decided to come home for your two week break” you say and he smiles

“There's nowhere else I would rather be than spending my night with my truly beautiful girlfriend” he says as he leans in and places a kiss on your lips, which you eagerly respond to, having missed the feel of his lips against your own.

“I love you Bo” you whisper and he smiles as you hear the chime of the clock from the church signalling that it is a new day, midnight.

“I love you too Y/N,” he says as he captures your lips in a tender kiss, before you break away from the kiss and rest your head on his shoulder as you look up at the sky.

You were the last one at the diner, staring blankly ahead. Your date hadn't even bothered to turn up and it had made you feel worthless, it was the end to an incredibly bad day. You feel yourself breaking down and before you know it, the all too familiar face of the college boy whom you had had a crush on for the last couple of years was sitting in front of you as he took your hand

“Woah, are you ok?” he asks concern heavy in his voice, you blink shaking your head before you say

“Not really Bo”. He looks at you sympathetically before he hands you a napkin and a small smile

“I'm sorry they hurt you Y/N, whoever has caused you this pain doesn't deserve you” he says before getting up and leaving you. You nod, before wiping the tears from your face and making your way up to the counter to pay. You pull out your Eftpos card and Bo shakes his head

“No Y/N, your meals on me. Go home and get some rest okay?” he says and you're about to argue but you can tell from the look on his face that he's not going to listen to whatever argument you come up with so you just nod your head and leave. When you reach the door to exit the diner you turn around and say

“Thank you Bo” he pops his head around the corner and smiles at you

“Of course. I'll see you later Y/N” he says and you smile for the first time all evening.
