☠ ⟼ corvus had given their full attention to their cell while waiting on the long line in the cafe, most people completely ignoring their existence, so when the woman spoke they jolted as if startled. their attention snapped away from their phone quickly, looking up to the woman standing before them. she gave off an eerie feeling, but not enough to be unsettling. like a feeling that something was just a little off. it caused them to stare silently for a moment until aito piped up.

'i'm pretty sure it's just your lack of social interaction, skipper.'

❝ oh... no. not at all. ❞ they gave her an awkward smile, sliding to the side a little more to ensure she had room and moved their bag to the otherside.

His knuckles turning white while tightening his grip on the silver tray. Everything went as planned. The way they blended in, serving drinks left and right. Vasco could easily remain calm as he spoke and provided the services that of the role he took upon. It's the fact that every time he attempted to serve the target he wanted, someone or something has to come interrupting. The conversation being short or overlooked, forgotten within minutes. It was best if Vasco didn't come here and attended elsewhere, though since a familiar face - even if he barely knew the guy - popped up with a mission that took the two to work together, he couldn't say no. Or rather, Vasco did yet the gil paid well. Perhaps the gil isn't even worth it.

Vasco may have an edge of an apologetic tone, but his voice is stern. He had noticed the other man sitting alone when he firsr entered the building, though he had paid no mind. Then again, he always scanned the place in every place he entered. He didn't realize how busy it is that day. He would have walked out if he did, though it's far too much.

With a drink in hand, Vasco slipped into the seat next to the blond.
