The thing that blows my mind about N*ah’s stans is how shamelessly they play dumb. Of course people can and should hold Shawn (or anyone!) accountable for past behavior. But the reasons Shawn isn’t brought up as much when people are criticizing The Pitt is because most people are criticizing it for its character/story choices and it’s hiring/firing choices. People aren’t being unfair to N*ah, it’s just that Shawn does not have say over those things, and N*ah does!
As an EP, N*ah DOES have significant say in hiring/firing for the show (which he’s talked about himself!). As a writer, he actively contributes to character/story decisions (which he’s ALSO talked about himself!). N*ah and his fellow executive producers are also the people who decide the final edit of each episode and which scenes get cut (which he, AGAIN, has talked about himself!). People cite N*ah’s past (and current!) words/behavior often to give context to their criticism of the show’s creative choices that they take issue with.
Shawn is not an EP or writer for the show, he is not involved in those decisions, so of course he isn’t going to be mentioned the way N*ah is when people are complaining about those decisions. Duh.
