Zarc has one real fear, but letting other people know about it is a trick he’s mastered pretty well. By his words, the average person wouldn’t think he’d be terrified of anything, but in reality, he’s scared of defeat and all the disappointments that go along with someone not being able to perform at the top of their game.

He’s an extremely competitive at heart and lives for entertaining and impressing the people around him. Granted, his ‘entertainment’ can be a little rough and (literally) annihilating his competition isn’t anything to him, but he won’t allow anyone or anything to better than him if he can keep from it.

This is why he’s low key wary of Ray too, though his ‘fear’ of her gets expressed as even more aggression and attitude than anyone else receives from him. She’s proved she can beat him multiple times over and he’ll do anything to prove he’s still better than her.

The pile of blankets Yugo had let slip from his arms and onto the floor was big enough for him and half the nearby city to slip under, yet he stood there asking Rin if she needed more. For some reason, it just didn’t feel like enough; not with the weather still biting like it was outside.

"Cause with all your complainin’ about how cold it’s been lately, I figured I’d at least need a pile twice this size to make it work,” a pause, “...That’s kinda all this place’s got though, so unless you know of somewhere else, these’ve gotta be the brakes.”

A bit surprised of these words Takeru turned around to the girl, tilting his head to the side. It wasn’t that long ago that she learned about him being Soulburner and even though they hadn’t interacted that much offline he already considered her as one of his few friends in town, much to their interactions in link vrains - not to forget the fact that she was kinda an idol for him. Someone to look up to. Not that he would tell her that or anyone else for the matter.. So he didn’t really expect her to approach him at all. Even less with words like that.

“Ah… sure. If your brother doesn’t mind me staying over?”

Because the last thing he wanted was to cause problems. And he hadn’t interacted that much with her brother, less he knew him. At the same time he came to realize that brothers tend to be protective of their younger sisters.

Still he was rather sure that he would stay with her. If she went as far as to ask him something like that Takeru was rather sure there had to be a reason for it. And after the other teen was somehow dragged in the whole mess with Lightning Takeru really didn’t want her alone with that matter. Well she wasn’t that alone, she had her brother and Aqua, but he knew from personal experiences that being around with Flame not always helped against the feeling of being lonely.
