9. Could you be roommates with this character?

genuinely I think that char would be a better roommate than several of the actual people I've lived with. this says more abt them than it does abt him but still. you know.

anyway my actual answer is probably. joke reason: that bit in the zeta novelization abt how he turns down his screen brightness all the way bc the light hurts his eyes. me too, buddy. let's have every screen turned down to minimum brightness and the blinds closed whenever it's sunny out. what do you mean vitamin d is important for mental health or whatever. slightly less joke reason: I do think he would do the dishes if you asked him to, and that's the main thing I look for in a roommate. like sure he might like. forget bc he's busy brooding but if you reminded him that he could do the dishes while brooding he would do it

Well, yes, but.. it’s 7 days and like.. my dude the smallest box was huge. like, my cats combined are the size of the middle size.

6. Favorite title you used

for the sheer delight it brings me, do you think you can win only if I lose. partially bc the song gets stuck in my head every time I think abt it and partially bc I really like the balance I struck w that fic between the silly parts of a ygo au and the actual emotions & characterization that I take seriously and I think the title also fits with that balance bc it's like. a statement of the themes but also it's. from the english 5ds op lmao. I was going to apologize for being so pretentious abt this but actually I'm not sorry and you know that I'm like this

everyone’s fancy masquerade ball outfits were So Good and I wanna try to draw them

special shout out to Jes, our very tiny fighter, with a giant sword almost as big as she is down the back of her dress like wonder woman

Seb, our ridiculous warlock disaster man, getting into arguments w both of his ~rivals which meant I had to do two (2) different petty passive-aggressive rich person voices

one of them is basically lestat (*nne r*ce pls don’t interact) and Seb kept making him spill his drink (is it wine? is it blood? we just don’t know) on his white clothes, including that time he flipped a table to create a distraction

the other runs the rival rich person book club and she got some good insults in, I liked playing her

I forgot to make anyone roll to get a guard to completely betray his employers bc I was so caught up in the good good rp everyone was doing.... Seb flirting his way out of a situation..... Jes completely failing to intimidate the smug rich boy villain despite having a Giant Sword

Jes got to the party and Immediately started chatting up the first lady guard she saw who turned out to be 1) very into Jes and 2) like at least a foot taller than her

Olo, our snake person cleric, broke into the bedroom of the lady of the house and when sie got caught pulled the classic “oh sorry I was just making out w my datefriend and got lost” move and then immediately panicked and charmed her which is gonna make. so many things go so much more smoothly than I expected tbh

two (2) years into this campaign and I’m still forgetting I get a second attack, which I have had this whole entire time

mics always cutting off half of someone’s answer to what their roll was, especially when it was in the teens, leading to the phrase “teen damage” and the dm singing teenagers by mcr, and also “what teen?” “wildcats!” which no one appreciated at the time but I still think I’m very funny

dm, describing a door our ranger just found: “it’s slightly ajar” me: “I thought it was a door”

our ranger tried to push a pull door and our druid kept failing to open doors and eventually decided that they were broken or not actually doors

and yet she’s the one who told nef he doesn’t know how to open doors

none of us can open doors tbh that’s the main takeaway from this session

spending 15 minutes at the beginning googling various animals

our ranger brought her large murderbird into an aviary and scared the pigeons

this fucking gem from our dragonborn druid re: her giant elk form: “it’s the only time she has a really great rack”

said druid, as a bearded vulture, sat on my paladin’s shoulder which is. probably not physically possible but he’s a strong boy it was fine

finding a wizard grad student to identify some vials of mysterious liquid which turned out to be demon blood used for ~ritual purposes~ that our druid immediately tried to set on fire

we did some shopping and discussed the possibility of a fantasy shoulder mounted missile launcher

in my in-character recap journal entry my character puts heart emojis next to his bf’s name every single time he writes it

some more hints of ~backstory lore~ for the other player characters that I, personally, am v eyes emoji about

you know it’s gonna be a good session when the dm @duckswithwings starts by saying “so it’s one a.m. and you’re in the bottom of a well” and @girlfriendsofthegalaxy says, “college, amiright?”

Cyra:“We love you, Nef” Nef: “I love you too” Arden: “love is a strong word” Cyra, offended: “Arden, you’re his mother!” Arden: “that sounds like a you problem”

nice try Arden we all know this party is two grumpy nature ladies who accidentally adopted a very friendly merman

Arden, arguing that we shouldn’t bring someone back to life: “he’s a criminal” Nef: “we’re criminals” Arden, a doctor of birds not of medicine: “I’m not a criminal, I’m a doctor” me, out of character: “have you met Julian thearcanagame” @teacupnatasha also probably out of character: “dammit, he’s a doctor and a pirate”

we went to a temple to try to bring someone back to life that we had uh. accidentally killed and there was no way to explain it that wasn’t suspicious as hell and ended up essentially confessing to murder and then all saying no when the cleric asked us if we were, in fact, confessing to murder

we didn’t get arrested though, the other guy did. after we brought him back and spent most of the session completely failing to get any useful info out of him

he was straight!! and also the worst!!!!

shout out to realizing he was straight bc he said some shit about “you know those tieflings who think people hate them because they’re tieflings”

Arden, trying to get the cleric to trust us and not immediately call the guards when we showed up with a dead body: “we wouldn’t be talking about business expenses if we were random mercenaries” cleric: “that’s exactly what random mercenaries would talk about”

we might have to take a road trip w Arden’s college ex and I am so ready to try to get them to have to share a bed..... how the turn tables
