Even through all the crying and screaming his voice is soft and he’s gentle. Overtime you just stop saying that stuff, he’s heard it a thousand times already anyways. There’s no need to pretend to be small, he’ll treat you as such anyways and it’s getting easier to feel yourself slip. There’s not much to do, so you color and arrange your toys even if a few days earlier you said you’d rather stare at a wall than act like a baby. He doesn’t comment on any of those changes either, he just says how pretty your picture is when he comes to check on you. If you decide to not play tomorrow, embarrassed by him noticing, he just picks you up and sets you on his lap while he reads (out loud, of course, babies should be read to often).
