David Gong Event
There are people who have been through hard times and there are people who have been through hard times and survived. David Gong transcends both. An eleven-time cancer survivor, record swim event holder, and coach to underprivileged children, David Gong knows what perseverance is. Losing a leg at the young age of nineteen and living in his car through school did not prevent him from jumping in the pool again while keeping a huge smile on his face. Our open event at Corwin Pavilion taught us what courage and determination really was. David Gong is truly an inspiring individual and extremely giving. Delta Sigma Pi definitely learned how important it is to not give up when times are rough and the joy of giving back to the community. It was such a pleasure listening to him talk. Thank you David Gong! We support your journey!
