D: What was the first thing you ever contributed to a fandom?

Uh, I  wrote  a Slayers fic that involved them all playing “Strip Truth or Dare Poker.” Which I made up. And it was a mess. But people liked it? And pairaka kindly hosted it on her site. And I was very happy. :FE: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what? 

...see above. :F

There was also that time I turned Chase into a chinchilla and used a lot of diseases from “The Thackery T Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric & Discredited Diseases.”  ...I thought it went rather well, honestly. For me, at least. 

Oh, and I made up a pairing: Alsuka. It’s Alphonse Elric and Asuka. Together. At last? Whatever it is, it started as a joke but I’ve actually written fics for it and it’s incredibly near and dear to my heart. So there’s that. 

H: Do you prefer real-life TV shows or animated TV shows?

I like them both! I’ve fandomized both, I’ve loved both, I’ve had my heart broken by both... I don’t know that I have a true preference, but when I found SNK, and got back into anime again, it was oddly comforting. Kind of like coming home. 

But like, my future fandom tattoo is a combination of my love for Asuka and my love for X-Files. So I feel like both mediums play a huge role in my life. 

K: How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom(s).

Shy! Intimidated! And I want to talk to them! But I’m always worried I’m boring or like...I get tired or overwhelmed and then suck at answering messages for a little and then I worry it’s too late or I’m too boring or whatever. I worry about being uninteresting a lot, and that I have nothing to offer people who come by on their fandom journey. 

But I’m always here! And even when I don’t know how to respond, please know that each message and follow is regarded like a precious stone. <3

L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?

OH GOD THIS IS TOO HARD (also I kinda got to do it the other day and eatingdrawingreading drew me this AMAZING PICTURE OF SOUSUKE and I died)

But...honestly...if it’s a fanartist, I’d probably ask for Asuka. If it’s an author, I don’t even know. It would depend on what author and what I was feeling. Probably some incredibly boring slice of life fic where like...Erwin and Levi get up and go to work then come home and eat dinner and go to bed. Aww yeah, that good stuff. 

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

Attack on Titan/SNK. There’s so much creativity and love, and I’ve met some important people that, even a year on, don’t show any signs of abandoning me and still think I’m worth talking to and that my one fic is worth reading. I know there’s wank around, but I’ve been lucky enough to miss most of it and only gotten to experience people being happy and excited and endlessly thoughtful. 

O: Choose a song at random, what ship does it remind you of?

Okay, so I opened itunes and the first song that came up was “Dutch” by Dessa, and because I am a stupid weirdo who ships bizarro trash, my dumb Hitch/Momo (aka “House Otterfuck) pairing is what came to mind. 

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.

Kirk/Bones. I really thought that was going to be the be-all and end-all of my ST pairings, but when I couldn’t write for it, when I said Bones was my favorite character but I couldn’t find what I needed in him, it made me very sad. And once I turned around and realized Sulu was there, and got aboard the Kirk/Sulu ship, I never looked back. I may not have always been thrilled in that fandom, but Sulu was a character that suited me so much better and didn’t make me doubt as much. 

S: What's a headcanon you have?

In the great hall of the Survery Corps HQ, there’s a big fireplace, and sometimes, when it’s late and night and been a hard day, Erwin and Levi fall asleep together in front of it, and Hanji usually joins them eventually and uses Levi’s ass as a pillow.

-Jaime/Brienne (Game of Thrones/ASOIAF and this one is like...I’m not necessarily sure I want them to get together? But their relationship is my favorite in the show and the one I’m most concerned about in the next book.)

Y: A fandom you’re in but have no ships from.

MST3K.

I know some people have ships, and like...my fiance and I like to think of ourselves as Crow and Servo, but I don’t actually want Crow and Servo to be shippy together and I just.... it’s a level of something I can’t and don’t really want to comprehend. 

Z: What's a ship that you want to ship publicly, but everyone on tumblr hates it so you keep your mouth shut about it? 

Honestly, I don’t think I have any? I mean like...the ships I’d want to ship publicly that are deeply weird are the ones that I mentioned and are already crack, and it’s not like I hide it, it’s just that there’s really nothing to post about them. :F
