Halsin: May I ask what is the story of your scar?
Drurda: Ain't a secret. I was a daft bairn thinking it'd be a laugh to mess around with my mum's axe. Got carried away, and nearly cracked my skull into halves. Could've lost an eye too, y'know! Mum beat the shit out of me that day to teach me not bite off more than I can chew. But, alas, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
Halsin: Did you take the axe again?
Drurda: Nae! In a month's time I made a bet with the lads I could grapple a bear. Word got to my mum and she gave me another guid skelping. *pointing on the scar on her chin* But I got this one!
Halsin: I am sorry to hear you lost your bet.
Drurda: Lost? I won!
Halsin: *confused* How old you were to wrestle an adult bear?
Drurda: I was 10 old.

Random Drurda's talks
Drurda [about her homeland]:
Ah, I've never came sae far, never crossed Delimbiyr. The North, it's my entire world and I know its every nook and cranny, like the back of my hand. And now... I'm lost in the midst of nowhere. Everything is sae different. Ye can take me from the North, but the North is aye in me. I am the bairn of Tempus and Gruumsh kin! I am the bairn of the North! My body is the stone, my blood is the fire, and my mind is the ice.
Drurda [about languages]:
I'd never have spoken Common. My pa has a guid way with it, but he only uses it on trade routes, never at home. At home, we speak Bothii. Pa taught me Orcish, and I use it only with his sisters and his mum, and only, y'know, when we have secrets to blether about. Anyway, I didn't have a reason to leave the tribe till I turned 14. Yet nature had its own plans for me. The blood of my forefathers decided it was time to bare its teeth. I was on the rite hunt in Runemeet. Spent a guid half day lurking in a woodland, trying to track down a bear. Finding his trail was easy, but catching up to him was aye a trouble. I let my guard down and didn't notice the bear sneak up on me first. In the blink of an eye, we're grappling together on the ground. Somehow, I strangled the beast with my bare hands, ready to finish him off, when he reared up and tossed me like a leaf in autumn. I slapped onto the stone and felt his paw near take me. I should've been dead, but the bear spirit took my body. The fur eased the blow. I mind snapping at the beast's throat with my maw. It felt natural, y'know, as if I'd aye been a bear before. I brought his lifeless body to the camp, still feeling the bear spirit roaming within my flesh. I earned my place in the tribe that day. The Sha spoke of my mum's grandfather, a bear-shifter like myself. She warned me to control my blood, to control the bear spirit inside me, or be the tribe's doom, not the tribe's claw. Alas, soon, I'd to part ways with the tribe. Next spring, my pa took me with him to Silverymoon. There we met with the druids of the Silverglen temple. They could teach me, but to learn I'd to speak Common. For a few years, I traveled with pa far from the Icewind Dale. My boot stepped everywhere: Luskan, Neverwinter, Mithril Hall, Yartar, Secomber, Triboar, Sundabar- Waterdeep once! My eyes even saw the ruins of Hlaungadath! As my ear and tongue mastered Common, I left my kin and become a part of the Silverymoon groove.
Drurda [about her name]:
Got my name from pa's mum. She's a witch, a right scary one! She talks with shrooms. She knows when they're hungry, sad, and other things like that, y'know. She taught me a bit to understand them when I was a bairn. She said I'd to respect shrooms the same way I respected other nature's offspring, and they'd become my bestest mates. I think the old hag knew something about me back then. She saw how the woodland aye allured me.
I'm very happy how she looks. That was difficult to adapt my old half-orc witch from Pathfinder to a D&D half-orc I could like.
