first of all you’re so so so so so so sweet. ily so much for understanding that i’m not remotely attacking people who are sympathtic. it’s just hard not to sound bitter when one billion dollars gets donated like it’s nothing, while other causes that are just as important don’t get the same type of media attention or fianacing, because they happen to people of color.

when you and i were chatting, you brought up the flint, michigan. flint needs approx 1/8 or 1/7 of that one billion for people to have clean water. imagine a first world country where it’s citizens are suffering because of a water shortage. people who are exposed to that water will eventually get diseases and blood disorders down the line, but nobody gives a shit because it affects people of color.

i think a lot of people don’t understand that there are so many things happening around the world, and while every single problem is valid, the problems involving people of color are significantly less important and less funded.
