‘’Imagine...’’: Lara Croft comes home drunk ( x F!Reader)
*(l/n) = Last Name
(f/n) = First Name
You woke up to the sound of crashing glass. You hurried to the front hall and saw Lara on the floor, completely out of it. Winston was next to her the next second, trying to carry her.
‘‘What happened?’‘ You say with worry dripping from your voice. Winston sighed.
‘‘She seems to have taken too much of alcohol, miss (l/n), she has been going on some night-outs with miss Nishimura lately.’‘Â
The weird thing is that Lara was completely silent and she just looked like she fainted. Â
‘‘I’d imagine her saying weird stuff and thrashing out though...’‘ You mumble.
‘‘What was that, miss (l/n)?’‘ Winston said.
‘‘N-nothing! I’ll just carry her to her room myself.’‘ You put her arm around your shoulder and carefully led her up the stairs. You stepped into her bedroom and had some forbidden thoughts in her head.
‘‘You can’t take advantage of Lara while she’s drunk, (f/n)..’‘ You laughed to yourself and laid Lara onto the soft linen of her bed. You were about to walk to the door before a hand caught yours.
‘‘Don’t go, mom...’‘ Your eyes widened as you faced Lara, tears were peaking at her now open eyes, facing you completely.
‘‘Lara-’‘ Arms caught your frame and held you close, now both of you were sitting on the bed. You were completely surprised and you were dumbfounded at what was happening at the moment.
You were just a simple ‘’friend’’ who was staying at the Croft Manor because you and Lara were that ‘’close’’ to start living together. Not to mention you didn’t have enough to pay for rent at your old flat.
‘Staying with Lara doesn’t seem so bad..’ You thought. But you didn’t expect to look at Lara in that way. She seemed in such a different world than yours. She’s strong, independent, and in a far better league than you. Â
There’s no way she’s look at you in ‘’that’’ way.
‘‘Lara...’‘ You remove her hands from your shoulders and look down, tears were now falling from your eyes and she lays a hand on your tear-stained cheek.
‘‘Why are you crying?’‘ She asks in a slow, slurred tone. Rain lands on the windows and you smile.
‘‘It’s just the rain, Lara. Now, sleep, you’ve got a long day tomorrow.’‘ You step out and as you were about to close the door, a voice echoed through the room.
‘‘How is it that rain would be on your cheeks when it rained just a moment ago? You didn’t even pick me up in the rain.’‘Â
Your eyes widened. Your pulse quickened. Â
‘‘What?’‘
