Eterna has been your home for as long as you could remember. The city was a melting pot, a jewel of Lysara, with the Tower at the center. As a child you would wander, close to the Witches who would come and go. Your parents had wondered if the Weave had chosen you, if you were reacting to magic that was at your fingertips – but it manifested in another way. You were never meant for the tower, you were meant for Peace. The Arches called to you, and you were almost disappointed. But Fate had been decided: you were to be one of the Dúnedain, no longer confined to the dreams you walked through every night, but to be something more. Your Arches trial took a long time in your mind, facing your past and your future – it was not easy. It haunts you still, so you walk the dreams of others most nights, keeping the peace and ensuring the Dark One does not grab hold of those who could do great harm. Your travels took you back to the Tower, another place you were always drawn to. It’s there you found your true calling. A diplomat to the Queen herself, guarding the peace of Eterna. But not everything is as it seems, and every night you close your eyes, the darkness seems to linger longer and longer.

the steed~

Ridden for war, battered by the ages as fate seemed fit to reincarnate you for battle after battle. Drawn into countless, altercations you saw yourself in the midst of it all time and time again. War horse, the steed that carried emperors, conquerors, and kings. A thousand lives trampled beneath your hooves, and thousand hearts trampled; gun powder burned in your nose as the world evolved without you. Horses were traded for cars, chariots were abandoned for heavy artillery, and you were too worn and weary to care. You saw the end of days and went down fighting, the unbroken steed and stallion with a spirit that has never been tamed.

You spent every life with a life of crime. It’s not like you meant to, it’s not always entirely that you had to. It just simply wound up happening and you are quite clever and so it is not often that you get caught. You have picked pockets, you have counted and hidden cards, you consider yourself a lovable rogue. Everyone else always considered you a menace but that was a matter of opinion.You used to lay in wait in near bodies of water, take on the form of animals that’d be found there and then strike carriages, bamboozle passerbys. It is all in good fun until you take something that cannot be replaced and are run out of town by local supernaturals. Thing was they hated each other, but they hated you even more and for once, you were actually afraid. Not enough to change your ways by any means, but to lay low for a while. You take a simple form, one that is innocent and very convincing. You do terrible things and you do them quite well. But that is fine, as you are a terrible goose.

The Wild~

Wolves hunted to survive, but wild dogs learned cruelty from humans and did it for sport. A broken home and a broken system, from one to the next you were a child but they treated you like a loathsome creature. A burden that they’d try to shake. Rome ended up your home but you were always a stranger in your own skin, Octavian took one look at you and grinned: feral and wild, you were his ideal. A home in a dusty pyramid, comrades in the form of people whose stories were all similar to your own. He wanted an army and that’s what he would get, dogmatic and cruel and ruthlessly ambitious. Loyalty was never your trait, but for the archdruid you fell to your knees. Strength to stand on your own, power to grind between your teeth. All bark and all bite, Octavian’s wild dog. A cackling hyena devouring flesh and bones alike.

The Lupine~

They called you the Liar, among the fey you were once regarded in esteem: they used to shout your name to the heavens, now they whisper it in secret. Seraphim descended upon you and ripped from your breast the magic that had always been sacred, the dread wolf reduced to one of the sheep. Fragile and mortal, destiny turned its eye from you and did not care for what was fair and what was just. The court you served turned away and in your solitude Octavian came to you, he saw the fierceness that glinted behind your eyes and whispered a blessing upon your marred soul. The dread wolf they called you, rightfully named for the Wolf is what you ultimately became. One of the pack, a leader who stood at the front, the alpha of untold age but the centuries had not weathered you - only hardened.

The Fox~

You’re on your own, kid. You always have been. A kitchen table covered with bills, a father left to do it all on his own. He didn’t know the first thing about raising a kid and neither did you. Siblings with mouths to feed, diapers to change, and lunches to pack. Your arms were too small to carry them all but somehow you figured it out along the way. The TV left on and an empty bottle in his hand, you wiped his drool and helped him to bed, a man who needed you as much as you needed him. You were swift and smart, you learned how to stretch a dollar and how to make it quick when that dollar only went so far. Run away, it was a strong instinct, but you didn’t. Opportunity came knocking because the world had uses for people like you, bright and with a future but you had mouths to feed and an aging man who couldn’t do it on his own. You passed so they could take your place, they flew the coop and you watched them go. They never said thank you, but they never had to. Tragedy found its way into your den, and when Octavian found you he saw the fox that had made it this far on their own.

The Shark~

The sea had always been your home, you were raised on it, adapted to it, and in the past you and your family had ruled it. Long nights spent staring at a sea of stars, you grew up remembering distant lands and foreign places you haven't seen yet in person. Leaving was your destiny because a simple life was not your calling and if you stayed in one place for too long you’d die. Travel came easy to you, work easy too, you’d been capable for all your life but when you came to Rome it was because you’d heard that there was a place for someone who had something to prove. Marshal, they called you, but that couldn’t be enough for you. You smelled the blood in the water and if the senate had stripped druids of position then they could also give it back. The truth is you did whatever it took to bring those who wronged your kind to heel, to prove in the eyes of those who were waiting for you to fall that you were every bit as cutthroat as your reputation implied. Backroom deals and viscera stuck between your teeth, your eyes settled on the open seat, obsessed with upwards mobility, you couldn’t stop moving or else you’d die.
