He didn’t understand why people didn’t communicate and talk things out more.
Amelia bit her cheek, trying not to roll her eyes in response to the other surgeon. Before she dragged him into this? Into what, exactly? As far as she was concerned, he was still fully capable of walking away at any time, and as easy as it might be to blame him, she was the one who walked into the bar. He was just a warm body with a wallet and some company. And sure, Owen would be pissed, but how that different from his current situation, she had no idea. “If I told you, what would you have done?
