so I've been seeing this guy for the past month and things were going well up until this morning he told me he was drinking and driving last night. he said he felt foolish and he should probably stop drinking, which he does drink more excessively then your regular young adult. This is not the first time he's told me he's drank and driven. But the damage is already done for me. Drinking and driving is particularly important topic to me since last year my own brother got a DUI - which I was furious about and refused to talk to him for a long period of time, especially since he's been doing it for years, and thank god has never hurt anybody in that time. Drinking and driving is seriously the most stupid, selfish thing a person can do. If you want to put your own life in danger, fine, go out and be an idiot but do not put the lives and safety of everyone around you in jeopardy too with your bad decision making. After knowing I was pissed at him, he became apologetic and upset and told me he wasn't ever going to drink again. I don't think a girl in your life should be the one that makes you realize you have a problem because the consequences are that she's pissed with you - you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.  I'm not sure what's going to happen between us in the future, something like this is sort of a deal breaker to me, but sometimes you've got to stick up and stay strong with the things you believe in over boys and relationships.
