"I appreciate your kind words” Jean replied with an exhausted smile. She wasn’t sure if what he said was true.

   Parts of her felt she wasn’t strong enough, that she could do more for  the people of mondstadt.  Self sacrifice ran strongly within the Gunnhildr Clan.  

If the time came for it, the acting grandmaster would happily give her life for those she held dear but even then, deep inside she didn’t feel that it was enough.

aether is a decent enough cook- if given the time/chance, he likes to make delicious, detailed meals for the people he cares about.. however, most of the time, he’s cooking at a campfire, so it’s a sort of do-what-you-can-with-what-you’ve-got situation. that being said, he’s fairly innovative with what he can eat... that doesn’t mean everyone else is though.

in the back of his mind, somewhere deep inside, aether thought he deserved to be left alone- to suffer in silence; he trembled in the darkness, unsure of where he was at first. and then memories began to trickle back. he had gotten hurt, but he was conscious for a while after, and muttered about not wanting to be alone, even if he deserved it. and with xiao there, the soft reassurance-- the blonde couldn’t help but to lean against the adeptus. “thank you,” hoarse voice whispered out gratitude, but those two words couldn’t begin to convey just how he felt about it.

“...cold.” realistically, it was a bit of both, but it was far easier to blame rosy cheeks on the cold than to admit anything else. “i don’t know how you’re not,” aether complained, gloved hands rubbing at his arms to warm up - and failing to do so.
