super pleased with my thrift shopping haul today :DDD pics below the cut
the color shifts a bit depending on lighting--I thought it was more green in Goodwill but at home it could be a green-leaning turquoise. super comfortable, I've never done a pantsuit/coverall-type look but it's a nice natural-feeling fabric and fits well. also the shoes are a happy find.
a solid-color shirt with a nice texture--trying to build out my options for nice-casual a little bit and this green was pretty. also. THE BOOTS. they're Kohl's so not actual leather but they're great condition at the moment and I can save my actual leather boots now (thrifted from this same Goodwill actually) xD
and this cute comfy dress which looks great with the boots which hide my compression socks nicely when they're folded down. I will probably wear this dress to dance on Tuesday (with a red necklace bc it's a special red-white-blue theme night) but will have to wear my normal slidey shoes/have visible socks because I don't think I can do properly smooth spins with these thick boot soles, alas. I may see if any of my belts look nice with it as well...
plus I got an oversized LL Bean nightgown that I have aspirations for...if I ever feel bold enough to try getting the fabric approved and turning it into LARP kit trim or a sash or aiming for the moon and trying a surcoat/overdress type thing. I say as I haven't sewn in over a decade. it will probably stay in my fabric stash with the rest of my aspirations. oh well xD
