I have a character for a short story, who is the typical confident, capable guy who knows himself and his abilities, but obviously still has pain he has to live with, because no character gets away without any. My first design was fairly... standart. The hair, long and dirty blonde, is important, but other than that, he felt somewhat generic.
So, the story is a dream I had, and I was him, so long hair felt natural. But maybe I should take it a step further, bc I'm a heavy gal. Maybe I make him a heavier guy. Without losing his confidence and natural swagger. I'll redo his character design and see how I feel, but I like the idea, because I don't think I see that around a lot, without it being a joke or a bravery statement ("why are they confident if they're plus sized"), both of which I'm kinda sick of.
That being said, I'm not the best writer, so we'll see if I can convey his character how I'm imagining him.
