Captain Rex! π«‘ Oh Captain my Captain π±
Absolutely unforeseen and not planned! Today I made a next experimental step on my drawing Padawan career and I decided to share the process with you for joy and also for feedback if you want πβ¨and to show my blissful crosshatching dopamining π€©
I just started the build up sketch and drew a clone. Turned out Rex. I don't know why, I only drew Rex one single time before (so that previous artwork is my ALT text mission today), but during the process something in the left mouth corner-chin-part reminded me of Rex, so I followed the art force and drew Rex π (freshly out of the shower maybe? Did I look too long at the yeetable Captain Rex of @astral-veil? π)
I'm really not sure if I'm satisfied with the result, but I know that's a common artist's issue π I like it, because it's my art and I'm almost kind of healthy mindsetted (mindsettled?) with that, seeing that it's presentable and fine π
But there's always that little nasty voice in my head, whispering "You can do better" and I KNOW that this is unconsciously learned behavior out of our performance society (especially Germany π super especially Bavaria π super hyper especially Lower Bavaria πΊ).
As you can see in the process, I erased the nose and some of the shapes. Now afterwards I think to myself "Was the first version the better??" π But even if β something in me decided to change the lines and I should trust this feeling! It's part of my development and so *sigh* ...
Here the clear result. Is Rex harried? Or is he sheepish? Is both even possible?
And here personal ALT-Text mission (1 additional ALT-Text for a previous artwork with each new art posting!):Β
As announced β my first drawing of Rex (getting a bone-crushing hug from Wrecker π₯° )
