I figured out I'm demisexual about a month and half ago. My roommate was super supportive when I came out to her, and since then, I've come out to a few other friends. Only one had ever heard of it before and he didn't seem surprised. I don't know anyone else who is demi and I feel kind of isolated. I joined tumblr a little over a week ago to make friends online who are going through the same thing, only to realize I don't know how to make internet friends. How do I do that?
Hmmm. Most of the friends I’ve made have been via fandom stuff, so I don’t know if that’d be applicable for  you. Most people like striking up conversations via askbox though, so if you find a blogger you like usually just starting up a conversation like you would with anyone else is a pretty good way to go.Â
Still, like I said, I’ve made most of my really good friends through the video gaming fan community here, and most of them first started talking to me because I’m a fan writer, so I don’t know. I’d just try talking to some of the people you follow and seeing where that goes.Â
(And of course if anyone wants to go chat with you off of this well ...)Â
