I mean that does make sense, but it's also called My Hero Academia, not My Hero University or My Hero Entering the Workforce. It's probably gonna stay in the high school/superhero training stage for a good while, if not for the duration of the manga. Look how long it took Naruto and his pals to graduate.
I know itās painful to grasp and stuff, and I get it a lot whenever I bring it up lol.
Like auw! what were you expecting?! The tl;dr is: I was expecting to be more surprised.
But uh. I can recognize that itās great at what it does, and I love the art style, and it has a few moments where it deepens the characters in surprising ways, but itās still overloaded with same old same old.
Itās SORT OF like how The Walking Dead is every zombie story ever told. Itās good at what it does, itās just that Iām tired of it.
Iām happy everyoneās still able to enjoy it and stuff, and Iām allowed to dislike the things for doing the things they set out to do lol.Ā
It isnāt as though I hate these things⦠Theyāre just not for me. Hey I gave it a shot haha.
Like youād think that I would be way intoĀ something like Steven Universe, but Iām not. I just canāt get into it. It isnāt aimed at someone my age, and when it makes a point, it was so absurdly blunt about it that I was likeĀ āehhh im doneā
idk haha. Iāll always push back against the impulse, especially from fans of things, that everyoneās enjoyment has to be an all-or-nothing affair.
