Their closeness had served as a diversion; an easy excuse for why Aichi would be carrying around a sleeping Tasuku in his arms. But for any curious eyes that might have encountered them along the way, they would never identify anything wrong with the scenario.
With the subject in tact and no longer capable of resisting, Aichi departed the building, strolling away in search of a separated building. Somewhere he could keep Tasuku well out of harm's eye, away from the view of unworthy others, who might interfere. Whom he might turn to in pleading to help rescue Aichi.
Instead, they would be damned together; hidden far from the anarchic society they'd watched fester in the building since their arrival. And fortunate as it was, there appeared to have been a couple of storage buildings set up in various posts near the edge of the two-mile radius, well out of the reach of unwanted intruders.
Entering into the structure that they reached, Aichi took care to seal the door, laying Tasuku onto the ground; apparently there were few comforts, but among the stashed clutter, they might have been capable of establishing some form of minimal living standards. All that mattered was that no-one would interfere, there was threat to the budding campaign already with gears spinning furiously.
