Sooo, I got permission to write a sequel to @dragonfruiteen‘s Ink/Dream Kenophobia drabble. Here it is! (Hope you like it?)
(I strongly recommend reading it before, because this won’t make sense otherwise)
Well, without further ado~
Forcing the liquid paint down Ink's throat made his soul drop. He had mere seconds before the other would feel the full force of running on only one kind of paint, one emotion. So Dream threw Ink's sash over his own shoulder and covered his eyes with his hands.
“Dream, is that you?”, Ink asked, a hint of fear already in his voice.
Dream hated this, hated seeing him like this, but they needed to get out of here.
“Yes, I'm here Ink. Now listen. I used everything just to find you, so you need to get us out of here. You can do that, right? Just open a portal, get us to your doodlesphere.”
“I guess?”, Ink was confused. “W-what's the catch, Dream? Why are you still covering my eyes?”
Fear rose up in him. Dream wouldn't hide anything from him, would he?
“Promise me something”, Dream whispered. “If I take my hands off, look at me. Only at me. Don't look around, don't look down. I will help you to stand up, all you need to do is form that portal as fast as possible, alright?”
“Promise me?”, Dream asked with a little more force behind his words. He couldn't start crying now. No matter how much it hurt him to see Ink like this, if Dream started crying it would be over for both of them.
“F-fine. I trust you, Dream. I won't look anywhere else, I promise.”
Dream took his hands off the others eyes, only to wrap them around him in a hug. Inks face was pressed against Dreams ribs, so there was no way he could look anywhere else. Dream slowly pulled both of them up, supporting Inks legs that got week from sitting too long.
“I'm scared, where are we?”
Ink was tempted to look around, but he was also afraid of what he would see. The fear was always present in his mind and he didn't know, why. What happened before Dream arrived? He couldn't remember.
“Just form the portal, please”, Dream pressed on.
Ink did as he was told. Dream guided him to and through it.
As they left through the portal he glanced to the side. For a brief moment he saw only white.
He could feel a panic attack taking him over, but only seconds later he felt himself falling. Into the familiar colours of his doodlesphere.
Yes, they were falling. In their hurry to get out of- wherever they were, Ink seemed to have misplaced the portal.
He landed face first on his sofa in the living room.
Dream... crashed straight into the table next to him.
“Messed up the portal”, Ink spoke into a pillow.
Dream immediately got off the table.
“No, you did great, Ink! I'm proud of you!”, he already ran out of the living room. “J-just stay there, I'll be right back.”
Ink didn't feel like moving at all, anyway.
Dream knew that they always kept spare paints here, in case of emergency. He just had to find them.
It didn't take him too long, since he stored them in the area he made sure was kept moderately clean on his own. Then he ran back to Ink.
“Time to get you back on track.”
I’ve been fussing over perfectioning this for way to long already, so here you are!
(To hopefully wake up to likes and rebloggs tomorrow, heh~)
