#dragonfire mod

Okay but it’s a httyd one, and I’ve been following the creators (the little club on YouTube, specifically Tiny Turtle, they were my LDshadowLady and Captain Sparklez) for a really long time since they made a lot of roleplay series for it. When they finally released the mod a few years ago, it was put behind a paywall on their patreon, which is somewhat understandable, but tiny me who didn’t even understand that I needed Java edition to play it anyway was absolutely devastated.

Anyways, a few months ago I decided, fuck it I’m getting Java since I actually have a computer that can run it. So I did, and my sister helped me download curse forge. But again, there was still the pay wall for the actual mod

Now that I’m back into Minecraft I thought I might as well look for any other httyd mods that might be out there, and lo and behold, some absolutely amazing person had pirated it onto curseforge!

So anyways i finally get to play it! And again I’ve been following this mod for a very long time so I understand a lot of the mechanics aside from a few technical stuff.

Along with this being httyd, the creators made a few original dragons too, probably for copyright reasons. And now there are mostly original dragons instead of the httyd ones

When you start a new world, you get a satchel that when opened gives you a random dragon egg that you have to get the materials to make an incubator for and eventually hatch it.

So I started a new world, and I open the satchel, expecting one of the basic dragons that are really easy to find in the world.

Instead, I get the Red Death, from the first httyd movie. I was expecting something small, and I get the second biggest dragon in the mod! And I have to make a place for it to live too!

My only consolation is that they start out small and it’ll take me forever to make the incubators since unless ur a speed runner it’s lind of a late game item (you need obsidian for the crafting recipe so first I have to find diamonds and a lava source.

To explain, Dragonfire is a mod created by Tiny Turtle (and some other folks. I could not find the names of the other devs, but the studio name is Spectral Studios. You can find it here.). It adds dragons, custom armour and weapons into the world.

I have heard of the mod by the way, like....idk, 4 years ago? I thought the mod was not active anymore. Turns out no, I was just under the rock. It's still going, well as of Tiny Turtle's last upload a month ago. I'm pretty sure it's still being worked on behind the scenes, and being shared on the Discord.

Unfortunately you can't play it unless you got a Patreon account, though you can access it with the free patreon trial. Also it's available on the bedrock marketplace. I can't afford it, but there is a lite version that's free.

I'm not a professional in evaluating this. (I'm no Chosen Architect.) But I would give it a shot. I mean... I'd try it if I could.
