Where I can't help but think of Tomix's thoughts to the Hero is basically "I've realized that I'm doomed since a long time ago, there is no other choice for me. Nothing awaits me but agony and misfortunes. But meeting you reminds me once more what it meant to be alive and to have people you can trust. In the last remaining time I have I've learnt what it meant to be happy surrounded by those I love."

I did a small part of book 1 replay two days ago and I feel so young again, so I sketched out book 1 Joanne when she was still full of whimsical joy and curiosity

Before she was an adventurer, she was a courier. A pretty well known one in Oaklore at least. She is especially one who comes around Oaklore Keep the most and sometimes also helps around the keep for some gold. One of the pactagonal knight was the one recommending her name when she was about to get her adventurer license (at least in my head there's a kind of guild who handles this kind of thing especially for young adventurer/mercenary)

Oh! This is something I just realized around last year, but yes! It's purely an accident from my side, but works just fine because I love it so much

I've always try to write/have the idea that Joanne and Jaania are the two sides of the same coin. They both walk through different path, found different outcomes, but without any of them realizing they are similar to each other a lot more than they thought

I also love the idea that Jaania seeing her self in the mirror and can't help but think of the Hero that was trapped inside the ice. And Joanne seeing her own eyes in the mirror and thought of that needle pricking ice and the mage that casted it
