I think some of the hero omori characterization hangups I have splits off from the graveyard scene and whether you read heroās breakdown as a revealing of character or a breaking of character.
like I can 100% see how one lands on āclosed off seething ball of repressed emotion masked by a persona of charm and amicabilityā hero with the former angle there is for sure textual support. but his internal character being actually sincerely like that enough to earn his āuniversally lovedā and āyou will really miss himā descriptions beyond the surface level is important #to me
#omori spoilers#is what you do with intentionality more true to who you are than what unconsciously slips through?#like the question of whether youāre really defined by your worst moments#is one philiosophers much smarter than I have been discussing for 5ever#omori the game seeds this into all of the main friends very intentionally#and itās up to the viewers at home to think it over and come to their own conclusions. resolve their own hopes#and like I said the former interpretation is a very reasonable angle to take.#(and itās for sure hashtag more nuanced than this dichotomy I made up)#I just feel so strongly about the latter mattering that the former sometimes feels like an entire different guy to me#dragon words
