The girl's first reaction was to jump up in surprised. Usually those words were followed by a scolding. A stern but firm 'you shouldn't be in here!' and 'where are your parents?' or some other such things that rained on her fun.
But the woman's voice didn't sound like that at all! It caught the dragon a bit off guard. "Um.."
She struggles to respond for a moment as she pivots to face the stranger, "Well..." She couldn't say the truth! Not the full one anyway, that'd she'd flown right over the gate because she was curious to see what was on the other side. But admitting she snuck in would get her in trouble regardless, right? She's pretty sure she isn't supposed to be here, the humans wouldn't have fenced it up otherwise!
"I got.... lost?"
Maybe if she just acts dumb enough, she can squirm out of this! Maybe.
