I’m not picky, as long as I’m with someone I like and who’s good at making me laugh, I know I’ll have a good time! Some of my fave dates have been at amusement parks, pubs, soccer games, sometimes movie + dinner... it’s all lovely when you’re with someone interesting and fun :)

I don’t find the books to be very dark, though there are certainly themes of dubious consent, specifically one minor character who appears in the first book and briefly in the second. I will say that Damen deals with some violence and some dubious sexual consent situations early on but generally only at the hands of Laurent. Some find it difficult to imagine how Lamen comes to be due to the nature of most of the events in book one but the journey is such a beautiful slow burn it’s really worth it.
