Right now, Octavia looked something like a cat with its ears pricked up, on high alert for anyone that may have followed them now.
“Happens to the best of us… Almost happened to me pretty recently too.” Octavia said, her attention everywhere but Dewey for a few more moments as she cast another nervous glance around before finally convincing herself they were safe for now. “I’m not usually a major missions person either… I just run my greenhouse and grow what people need. I do most of my work from home. Glad I could help you out… Are you alright?”
“Well enough,” Dewey said. He wasn’t, actually. Being taken always shook him; he was the sort who had a need for inventory, and desperately required everything to remain in its proper place. When that sort of stability was challenged, or overturned entirely... he didn’t handle it well.
He needed his library. More than that, he needed his brothers. But he trusted Octavia, although he wasn’t sure if her particular niche of skills would help if they were surrounded. “How quickly can you drive?” he asked her. “And do you have trouble with cliffs?”
