Go Team Machine!
At last, I have three members for a full undead horseman team! Even if one looks... slightly out of place. Ah, art evolution.
I always thought Baramos was shorter than a person. Whoops.

I got my second-ever 5-star ticket in Scan Battlers! King of Nadiria himself, Grandmaster Nimzo!
Robbin’ ‘Ood and his merry men preforming a combo attack in Dragon Quest Scan Battlers.
One of my friends wanted to try DQ Scan Battlers, so I watched her play for the first time. It was interesting to see how they changed up the introductory battle. When I started, I recall it giving me the shoddy rental gear and three random, weak monsters. I was surprised that my friend got three common-but-decent monsters, giving her a pretty good team that easily beat the enemies. However, it didn’t end there.
After the battle seemed over, the Dragonlord appeared! It easily killed my friend’s monsters one by one, until she remained alone. We were both shocked that the game would throw such a difficult boss at her on her first try.
Just then, however, a mysterious NPC appears and throws you a sword with the ability dragon slash, allowing you to deal massive damage to the boss. It’s then we realized this is a scripted fight designed to show you how powerful you can become with the right cards later. The NPC then let her summon the DQ11 hero for the coup de grâce. What a neat idea to show new players a taste of power. My friend was certainly into it.
