The time I've spent with my friends, and the space I've traveled through with them, that's the time and space I've lived, and you-Cyrus aren't supposed to take it away because it doesn't fit your view of the world.

The final confrontation between Dia and Cyrus is amazing, by the way. The only other protagonist-boss villain pair in the manga with this much chemistry is the one between Red and Giovanni.

Us too, Platinum. They started on an accident, and they may have started with some difficulties, but it's the best thing they could have got in their lives.

Part 1 of Pearl's development: he doesn't hit Dia in their jokes anymore, and if he needs it for the show he uses a toast, which obviously hardly hurts and Dia even uses it to get a snack.

Part 2 of Pearl's development: he let's Dia have his own gag, giving him constructive criticism instead of forcing his own ideas on him.

Part 3 of Pearl's development: he doesn't force Dia to battle and trains Platinum on his own instead.

Yeah, good question. I guess Munchlax was the only one still not shown fighting with Platinum, but the idea they had for this battle for him was really cool and funny.

Average DP player experience. Imagine getting back from school, opening your ds hoping to forget everything about homework and studying, and finding a series of math problems in the gym. Good times.

"The power of the Red Chains commands you to battle one another." This whole chapter with the context of PLA gains so much more significance. In the game we use the Red Chain to separate them, here Cyrus uses them to mix their powers.

Good question, Volkner. That is the entrance to the Distortion World, right? Of course Volkner is more interested in that than the final battle. It's way more dangerous.

This is the craziest stuff they could have pulled for this fight. They really went all out with Dialga's and Palkia's powers in the manga. The red sky from the games is nothing compared to this. Also I appreciate the detail of Pearl being affected from the space distortion while Dia from the time repeat.

Yeah, it's a great comparison. Kyogre and Groudon fight for natural instinct, Dialga and Palkia are supposed to be siblings. If Kyogre and Groudon fight, Rayquaza intervenes. If Dialga and Palkia fight, there's little any other Pokémon could do, and Giratina can't leave the other side of the world unless they free it.

As useless as it may have been (it really wasn't but you know), this was a very smart plan of the gym leaders. In this specific moment, Cyrus is the safest person up there, so of course to break the chain they had to get close to him.

It makes sense. The artificial chain was already a filler, breaking it means at least one of Dialga and Palkia is completely out of control.

Oh yeah, the biggest DP meme. I know it's blood, but it looks like wet eyeliner.

That's a pretty interesting theory. Dialga and Palkia did fight in PLA, maybe at some point they ended up looking like this, and the two clans later decided to use the two statues found on the Coronet Highlands to mix them up and show their union. I mean, as a manga plot if the remake arc existed.

God, I can feel the pressure. They are so small compared to those deities. And yet they have to face them, two kids who have been training for barely a month and were never supposed to be trainers who fought battles.

Aaand there she is. The cause of all problems. The one who appeared a couple of times and never showed up again. It's sad that the fast paced release of the games forced the manga to abandon the overarching plot installed in FRLG, because it could have been so interesting to see her and her motives.

How would she manage to keep it a secret? Unless you don't know anything about Pokémon battles (like the trio), you should know who's the champion of your own region.

In any case this is such an amazing battle. I would have so loved to see it in a game and anime version too. You know, like N vs Alder in BW.

Reading this with all the context of PLA is amazing, you have no idea. Celestic Town was already destroyed once, and the newcomer Team Galactic now destroyed it for a second time.

The foil between Cyrus and Pearl that I mentioned, except Pearl uses his willpower to help others, while Cyrus uses his own to destroy everything else.

Another useless move made useful.

This is such a cool moment. Gyarados, a violent and scary beast who destroys everything on its path, Dragon Dancing in the sunlight, it's spectacular.

Cynthia and her Pokémon truly represent the emotions to Volo's willpower and Cogita's knowledge.

Thinking about it, Draco Meteor is truly an incredible move. It literally summons meteors from the space to take down the enemy.

I can feel all of his fatigue through the screen. God, I could never do what he's doing under the rain and in the mud.

This is a good callback. He's getting inspired by all of his mentor figures with this specific Pokémon.

Can I say? Pearl possibly gives the cutest nicknames. And his Pokémon have so much personality compared to most other Pokémon of the manga.

"At least two more Pokémon". It's cool that the manga explicitly mentions that there's no limit in how many Pokémon you bring, but six is the most common and easier way to go.

Cool shot. I wonder why they decided to change Jupiter's ace with Tangrowth instead of Skuntank. Maybe they thought they already used it a lot before her appearance?

This is such a good moment both in the manga and in the game. It makes you feel dread over the numbers and power Team Galactic has.
