To see the one that was always so calm, so collected, so under control, on the ground in laughter and hysterics. On the ground with blood at his feet and on his face, eyes wide with a madness that wouldn't look away from the mutilated thing that laid unmoving in front of him.

It was frightening, or so he heard.

To hear the laughter cease the moment they touched him, to witness it turn to howling as he thrashed in their grips. Nearly took two of them out, took four more to hold him down and bind him before he stilled.

But then he settled, just like that. Resorted to giggles that would not stop. He was unresponsive on the way there, wherever it was that they were taking him, laughing at some nothing no one else could see. Eventually they had put something over his face, and-- he went silent. Unconscious. Didn't make another sound, not a peep. 

Or so he heard.
