years pass, decades, even— the radianite and omega earth crisis is lost to words in history textbooks and archives that kay/o has seen been put on shelves, and he feels lost.

or as close as you can feel to such grief as a robot.

he is an obsolete machine— nobody knows how to operate him— how to maintain him. he is forced to work on himself. it’s scrappy, but it gets the job done.

he finds himself meeting his old team in new people— someone with the same aura as reyna and someone with the same witty comeback as phoenix. he yearns.

he meets someone— tall, bulky, a gruff voice similar to two versions of someone he has met before— a mechanical heart never skips a beat, but he feels one fleet.

he smells like coal, ash, and gunpowder. brimstone.

he says, “you must be old. that radi-core is way past obsolete.”

I'm a French speaker, just read your cyphber torture fic and am... confused. I had to check out the translations lmao, esp for "mots sûrs"

So I thought I might as well come say, we don't really have that term in french. Trying to think how we'd say safe word in French - we'd probably just use the English safeword in a possibly very French accent lol

Everything else is technically correct, and though I'm not a big fan of the wording, that might just be me.
