i have so many thoughts about outsiders smp reddoons and none of them are coherent at all
started looking into what wing clipping really did and ohhhh my god why is the symbolism of this just me ? why is this what my dad does to me ? in a way ?
“social pet birds (such as parrots) may also be clipped both to restrict independence and in attempts to make them tamer and easier to manage to encourage them to socialize with their owners.” (from the wing clipping wiki)
“the purpose of clipping a bird’s wings is not to prevent flight completely, but to ensure the bird is unable to achieve or sustain upward flight, preventing escape, unwanted roaming, and exposure to dangerous situations.” (from another website talking about wing clipping)
these r both me. ITS ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE WINGS MUST B CLIPPED EVERY 1-3 MONTHS FOR MOST BIRDS AND. i spend about that long at my dads before going back to my mamas. which. cmon dude
this is in line with everything. my wings are clipped when im at my dads but JUST as they regrow im back at my mamas where i can keep them free and HAVE my independence! just to go back and have them clipped again.
yall get me? you get me? ok. thanks. im a dove now btw i forgot the mention this
