head over heels
“I suppose you’ll need some help getting out of there?” Mikleo said, crossing his arms and trying to tone down his smirk a bit as he gazed down the pit in front of him. “If only you had someone who was a bit better at this with you, to warn you that you were obviously about to step on a false tile.”
The satisfied half-smirk that he wore was so strikingly different from only moments before, when Sorey had first fallen through the floor and Mikleo had rushed over asking if he was okay. Now that he knew he was fine, though, there would be no mercy.
Or so he intended. And yet as Mikleo put his hands on his hips, his smirk changed to something a bit softer, albeit intentional. He teased, but honestly Sorey was cute -- and almost always he was keen to pick up on these sorts of traps and falls, but sometimes he would get just a bit ahead of himself, a bit too excited and a bit too into it -- and it was just honestly cute. But of course, he didn’t have to know that.
“Come on,” he said, more to himself than to Sorey, probably. He knelt down, leaning over as much as possible without letting himself fall in, reaching his hand down to Sorey. The pit was deep, but not so far down that he couldn’t pull him out. Probably.
