this fucking show. i could say so so so many things about this but my head is hurting i am reeling from the final ep and i'm still trying to decide whether the 9/10 i gave this means 8.8 rounded up or 9.3 rounded down so: this is a show about shitty parents and the way they fuck up their kids. this is a show about parents who are not so shitty but still get fucked up kids anyway. this is a show about parents who fuck up other people's kids and think they can get away with it. this is also a show about trusting no one (until you do) playing mind games with each other (until you don't) and the importance of doors and tables. liminal spaces. (no i am not joking. make a note of every time we get a long shot of a door or an entryway in the Jang family house and you'll understand) check every exit, every entrance. give yourself a way to escape. don't sit down at the table unless you're ready to find out the truth. don't get up from the table if you're not sure you heard the truth in the first place. doubt all you want. doubt your convictions first of all.

and when you're done doubting, start fresh and get to work.
