THE LORD is King, be the people never so impatient; * he sitteth between the Cherubim, be the earth never so unquiet.    2 The LORD is great in Sion, * and high above all people.    3 They shall give thanks unto thy Name, * which is great, wonderful, and holy.    4 The King’s power loveth judgment; thou hast prepared equity, * thou hast executed judgment and righteousness in Jacob.    5 O magnify the LORD our God, and fall down before his footstool; * for he is holy.    6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among such as call upon his Name: * these called upon the LORD, and he heard them.    7 He spake unto them out of the cloudy pillar; * for  they kept his testimonies, and the law that he gave them.    8 Thou heardest them, O LORD our God; * thou forgavest them, O God, though thou didst punish their wicked doings.    9 O magnify the LORD our God, and worship him upon hisholy hill; * for the LORD our God is holy.

O SING unto the LORD a new song; * sing unto the LORD, all the whole earth.         2 Sing unto the LORD, and praise his Name; * be telling of his salvation from day to day.         3 Declare his honour unto the heathen, * and his wonders unto all peoples.         4 For the LORD is great, and cannot worthily be praised;* he is more to be feared than all gods.         5 As for all the gods of the heathen, they are but idols; * but it is the LORD that made the heavens.         6 Glory and worship are before him; * power and honour are in his sanctuary.         7 Ascribe unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the peoples, * ascribe unto the LORD worship and power.         8 Ascribe unto the LORD the honour due unto his Name; * bring presents, and come into his courts.         9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; * let the whole earth stand in awe of him.         10 Tell it out among the heathen, that the LORD is King, and that it is he who hath made the round world so fast that it cannot be moved; * and how that he shall judge the peoples righteously.         11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; * let the sea make a noise, and all that therein is.         12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it; * then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the LORD.         13 For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth; * and with righteousness to judge the world, and the peoples with his truth.

THE LORD is King, and hath put on glorious apparel; * the LORD hath put on his apparel, and girded himself with strength.            2 He hath made the round world so sure, * that it cannot be moved.            3 Ever since the world began, hath thy seat been prepared: * thou art from everlasting.            4 The floods are risen, O LORD, the floods have lift up their voice; * the floods lift up their waves.            5 The waves of the sea are mighty, and rage horribly; * but yet the LORD, who dwelleth on high, is mightier.            6 Thy testimonies, O LORD, are very sure: * holiness becometh thine house for ever.

I WAS glad when they said unto me, * We will go into the house of the LORD.           2 Our feet shall stand in thy gates, * O Jerusalem.           3 Jerusalem is built as a city * that is at unity in itself.           4 For thither the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD, * to testify unto Israel, to give thanks unto the Name of the LORD.           5 For there is the seat of judgment, * even the seat of the house of David.           6 O pray for the peace of Jerusalem; * they shall prosper that love thee.           7 Peace be within thy walls, * and plenteousness within thy palaces.           8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, * I will wish thee prosperity.           9 Yea, because of the house of the LORD our God, * I will seek to do thee good.

HEAR my prayer, O LORD, and consider my desire; * hearken unto me for thy truth and righteousness' sake.         2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant; * for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.         3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; * he hath laid me in the darkness, as the men that have been long dead.         4 Therefore is my spirit vexed within me, * and my heart within me is desolate.          5 Yet do I remember the time past; I muse upon all thy works; * yea, I exercise myself in the works of thy hands.          6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee; * my soul gaspeth unto thee as a thirsty land.          7 Hear me, O LORD, and that soon; for my spirit waxeth faint: * hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.          8 O let me hear thy loving-kindness betimes in the morning; for in thee is my trust: * show thou me the way that I should walk in; for I lift up my soul unto thee.          9 Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies; * for I flee unto thee to hide me.          10 Teach me to do the thing that pleaseth thee; for thou art my God: * let thy loving Spirit lead me forth into the land of righteousness.          11 Quicken me, O LORD, for thy Name's sake; * and for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.          12 And of thy goodness slay mine enemies, * and destroy all them that vex my soul; for I am thy servant. 

SAVE me, O God, for thy Name's sake, * and avenge me in thy strength.       2 Hear my prayer, O God, * and hearken unto the words of my mouth.       3 For strangers are risen up against me; * and tyrants, which have not God before their eyes, seek after my soul.       4 Behold, God is my helper; * the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.       5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: * destroy thou them in thy truth.       6 An offering of a free heart will I give thee, and praise thy Name, O LORD; * because it is so comfortable.      7 For he hath delivered me out of all my trouble; * and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.

THE earth is the LORD'S, and all that therein is; * the compass of the world, and they that dwell therein.        2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, * and stablished it upon the floods.        3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? * or who shall rise up in his holy place?        4 Even he that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; * and that hath not lift up his mind unto vanity, nor sworn to deceive his neighbour.        5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, * and righteousness from the God of his salvation.        6 This is the generation of them that seek him; * even of them that seek thy face, O God of Jacob.        7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; * and the King of glory shall come in.        8 Who is this King of glory? * It is the LORD strong and mighty, even the LORD mighty in battle.        9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; * and the King of glory shall come in.        10 Who is this King of glory? * Even the LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.

GOD be merciful unto us, and bless us, * and show us the light of his countenance, and be merciful unto us;            2 That thy way may be known upon earth, * thy saving health among all nations.            3 Let the peoples praise thee, O God; * yea, let all the peoples praise thee.            4 O let the nations rejoice and be glad; * for thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.             5 Let the peoples praise thee, O God; * yea, let all the peoples praise thee.            6 Then shall the earth bring forth her increase; *  and God, even our own God, shall give us his blessing.            7 God shall bless us; * and all the ends of the world shall fear him.
