The Double Hell AU is a Hazbin Hotel Post-S2;E4 AU!

That means that everything leading up to season 2 episode 4 is canonical in this universe! Including any reveals we get in later episodes, do with that information as you wish.

My changes? Well Firstly, meet the new VOX POPULI!!!;

It opens as normal, Vox begins his little speech thingy, then the whole lightning, thunder crap, and here's our Lulu!!!

“You're actin' out like you want teacher's attention- Well,”

He's just flyin, and this bit is as normal as it is in the actual show, just… just go watch that, mine isn't much different up until Vox finishes like three verses lol

So… let's skip!!

Three amazing verses later and we get this;

“Manifest destiny, long as you invest in me, the rest'll all fit into place!”

The Eyes around Hell just blink to attention at that and some rumbling is faintly felt beneath the feet of all of the sinners around the stage.

“Meanwhile, this king thinks all of us peasants should be satisfied with an endless existence of suffering!” If anyone cared to notice, the eyes closed for the very first time and the stage dimmed its lights.

“Woah, woah, wait, wait, hold on!-”

“Tell me, Hell, are you satisfied?!”

“No!!”

“Your wife knew it was wrong, Lu!”

“Ooh…”

“Maybe that's why she's not around anymore!!!” The massive screens turned to static, but no one cared, Vox was having his moment!

“You mouthy little mortal!”

“Here it comes! Smite me! Silence me! That's all you angels know how to do!!”

And when Lucifer swung this time, a black light of a one eyed beast with tentacles surrounding it appeared behind him, pushing his fist down to get a good hit on Vox before it disappeared and slithered down Lucifer's arm and into Vox's head.

Lucifer blinked and pulled back, very surprised by the fact he HURT Vox, the sinners below went silent, Valentino and Velvette backstage were shocked, jaw-dropped and pulling the dancers back behind the curtain, even the 8/10.

We then cut into Vox's head and it's all static, in the static we zoom in and see the human version of him, not the TV man we know and tolerate, running from… something.

The camera pans and what do we see?

A GIANT FUCKING WORM-SNAKE-THING!* It's mouth agape and snapping every few seconds at Vox as he continues to run.

“You won't go through with it, you're weak.” a voice echoed all around him.

“They don’t believe in you, you're done.” it continued

“And for that Hell’s clipped any wings you had a chance of claiming and chained you down here.” it huffed, the beast chasing him dissipating at the wave of a tentacle.

He finally collapsed and took his breath, then a screen opened up in front of him… it was of his body, just laying there, unmoving.

We zoom back to the stage, and Lucifer's just kicked the body off the platform and looked down at the group of sinners, glaring, sheepishly, they sing:

“L-Let's unite and fight for our love-ing realm…” Lucifer, now happy, repeats them saying: “Loooooving Realm!”

“W-We'll direct our destinies as one nation under our King…”

“'Cause, happy days are nigh with…”

They paused and looked to Lucifer, Lucifer looked around himself before seeing Charlie in the little cup-balcony thing early, waiting for the angels and pointed up to her.

“Redemption at the helm!!” he said to the sinners and Charlie was so confused, she'd missed… most of what happened honestly, but the sinners just nodded and agreed with it! They didn't wanna get smited like that, Vox looked like he was out for good…

“Future's never tasted sweeter… Thanks to our charming leader…” the sinners meekly say to Lucifer.

“E-Every sinner can be a winner!...” Valentino stepped out to try and pump up, clearly pathetically showing himself loyal to the crown now.

“Let's take our fates to the Pearly Gates!...” Velvette followed, understanding Val's thinking of ‘if they didn't, they'd end up like Vox’.

“We can have the key if we trust Char-liee!!” the sinners spoke, before again chorusing;

“Give applause, Hell has cause to rejoice!!...”

“Hail the Morningstars, our (your) on-ly choice!” Everyone except Charlie sang…

Then the Angel's came for real!

The screen had closed for Vox…

And that thing with the one eye had now stood over him, he gulped, scratching the back of his neck.

“Heyyy… uhm, listen… could- could you let me oooout of here? I kinda have this whole plan to be, you know, take over heaven and heheha… I don't… I don't actually know what I'll do from there but, I'll figure it out! And! How about I let you into heaven when I do take it over! Give you a spot as my littleee… little right hand! You seem mighty powerful!!”

The thing blinked, then simply looked away from him.

“Hey! What gives! I'm giving you a reaaaaaalll once in a lifetime opportun-”

“This sinner admits it.”

“Wh- huh?”

“You called this takeover to only empower yourself, raise your own status.”

“What- no!! No! I care for allll of-”

“You did it to prove a point.”

“I-... How-”

The static in his head cut out with complete black, their frame and tentacles being fully hidden aside for the eye and their necklace.

“I will not let you try to control the narrative anymore.”

“L-Listen!” Vox tried to back up, but a tentacle wrapped around his waist and tied him there.

“Consider this my only mercy before the curtains close.”

“L-Let go! I'll abandon everything, all of it! I'll stop everything! Just- let me go!”

“I've woken up my followers to the lies those angels tell.”

“... W-wait what? ”

“When you pay them a visit, you won't be bringing baskets, you'll be bringing decimation that'll put them in caskets.”

“Y-Yes!!”

“But first show them what it means to be loyal to the king of Hell.”

“What?! No! I thought we had an understanding!!!”

Then a glitched portfolio of his own face showed up, one of his TV heads, and more tentacles puppetted it:

“Oh I'm your LEADER, I'm immense!”

Then tossed it aside.

“I am the avatar of your consequence.”

Vox shut up now, eyes wide as lights shine around it, showing its form.

So this is what hypnosis felt like…

“I'm your Balancer.” and Vox nods.

“I am the nightmare they made when they chose to spill blood.”

Vox was let go, as more scenarios popped up, on many different screens, different dimensions all depicting a different type of Heaven…

“They all cower and hide, finding a rope they can swing from.”

Vox just looked. One of them displayed one where he was in charge of Heaven… and even then, it ended up the same as they spoke.

It then turned to him, a tentacle opening a door to a white void.

“Go say your goodbyes, to your old life, to this ‘kingdom’.”

And Vox immediately ran out, not even caring what this thing said.

For as long as Heaven has existed, the citizens have feared one thing and one thing only.

An angel going “mad”.

If an angel looses their mind, they're prime victims for the fallen.

There have been many cases of angels, loosing their mind, and then the timer moves up by five ticks.

This timer? A warning.

A warning for what?, I hear you ask.

Why, a warning until the Balancer is let free.

The Balancer themselves, is a fallen Seraphim.

In an attempt to prove a weakness in Heaven, they used their God-given power to create monsters.

These monsters, went on to kill.

To harm.

To destroy.

And so, The Balancer was deemed as sin.

Their argument? “What is good without evil?”

“What is peace without suffering?”

“What is a kingdom without a plague?”

All of these, valid yes, but not good enough for the Lord.

He wanted peace in his kingdom of Heaven, he would not accept these monsters he deemed this defiance as a crime against him.

So, the Balancer was cast away.

Down into a void where they were chained, and unable to use their power to access Heaven again.

But, as fair as God is, he gave a rule.

If enough angels succum to this idea, of total, utter, despair, that they loose faith, and fall into the void, he would let the Balancer go free to fix the world of it's grievances.

Lucifer was the first.

His dreams cast away by the higher Seraphim.

And discovering Lilith... Crying from the actions of God's ‘perfect’ man.

Yet he wasn't believed when he told the Seraphim.

So he wanted to prove to the council, and to his Father that humans were capable of such defiance.

With the ultimate sacrifice.

Having Adam's second wife, Eve, disobey God's order and eat from the tree of knowledge.

Bringing Sin into the world.

For this, Lucifer was to be cast away to the same void as the Balancer.

But when Lucifer landed in it's void, they were cornered immediately by one of the Balancer's monsters.

A beast called Ophiuchus.

A serpent, made to endlessly eat, consume, all that are in it's path, to protect the Balancer from aany being come to harm them, as they're pretty much defenseless.

But, The Balancer stops their beast from attacking.

The Balancer went up to Lucifer, and lifted the fallen Archangle up.

They saw potential in him, They always has regarded him as special.

And if the Lord was to cast him aside like this.

Then they would nurture this power he holds and use this opportunity she'd been given.

Seeing the wingless woman that stared up at her, Lilith had to quickly explain herself.

The first woman.

The reason for their exile.

The Balancer was enraged.

And so, with their infinite power, created a land below the void.

Far, far below, where those who followed in Lucifer's act of free-will, those humans who sinned, could live, and be free of consequence.

They made Lucifer and Lilith in charge of this land.

But, with one catch.

Lucifer is unable to harm any of his people. To avoid this same fate they were given.

Lucifer agrees and becomes the King of Hell, Lilith his Queen of Hell.

God is aware of this, of course, but he allows it.

The Judgement system is put in place after Adam and Eve's deaths, they get into heaven.

Soon, Abel too.

But Cain? He's the first soul in Hell.

Time passes, The other sins, the past virtues, fall down too.

Each being granted their own ring of Hell by the Balancer, where their own people, the imps, can thrive.

Sinners however, confided to the Pride ring, so the Balancer can watch over them.

Lucifer calls for the Balancer's blessing one day.

Whatever for?

For the birth of the Princess of Hell.

They bless the child, and then leave, deciding that, if birth was going to be so difficult that the sinners would need their blessing each and every time, then they'd tweak up the rules about birth.

The Sinborns.

A merging of two sinners souls, entirely devoid of sex, and thus, birth is not needed, but contact is.

Essentially, they make it so any sinner who tries to conceive naturally, or using sperm and eggs, IVF or not, it always ends up becoming a miscarriage.

Because they will always kill the unborn child of two sinners whilst it's still in the womb, if the conceiving was done the “human” way.

Once they've confirmed all of the rules, they come to Lucifer with this new rule, Lilith is in agreement, no sinner should have to go through the pain of childbirth while in Hell.

Lucifer forgets to tell the citizens of Hell this because he's too busy with his own child.

Many centuries pass... and suddenly the Balancer feels an imbalance in the power description.

A new-comer.

An unstable mind.

With the power to eradicate many powerful overlords in the span of a week.

They see immediately that he's on a leash.

So they follow the golden thread.

To an overlord that's slipped under their nose for some time.

Rosie, Overlord of Cannibal Town.

So, Hell being their little chessboard, she plucks Rosie up.

Rosie is terrified, the true look of the Balancer is something no mortal can comprehend.

So they shape shift, to be something more... Human-like.

They warn Rosie that what she is doing could get her killed.

And that she needs to control her manic soul, before he breaks the equilibrium of Hell, and they have to get involved.

Rosie agrees immediately, thanking the Balancer for the warning, and Rosie gets dropped back into cannibal town.

The Radio Demon is off the air for seven years.

During that absence, Lilith summons the Balancer's presence.

She is regretful of her sins, and wishes forgiveness.

The Balancer begins to tell Lilith that they are not the ones to tell about this, and Lilith will have to go to the Heaven Embassy in order to ask for forgiveness.

And then she reveals Adam's offer to them.

The Balancer still believes in “what is peace without suffering” and so, with the King's absence as of late, they give Lilith their protection into going back to Heaven.

The Exterminations begin. With the exception of the Hell-born, soon Hell's population decreases in the Pride ring.

After the first, the Balancer adds a timer on top of the Heaven Embassy.

The sinners now have a countdown, a warning.

Just like they have.

They then lay in wait, six exterminations.

But this unofficial one, they are angered at.

It is supposed to be every year.

They did not authorize this one be shortened to six months.

So, they go up to the top of their void, the strings of fate.

By Adam doing this, and him entering their territory, they cut the string connecting him to Heaven and tie him down to Hell.

He's damned if he dies.

They watch the final extermination with bated breath.

And then, seeing Adam might make it out alive, they place down Niffty behind him.

Adam is dead, and now his soul belongs to Hell.

More specifically, his soul belongs to them.

Lucifer simply owns the title of King of Hell.

The Balancer owns all of the souls who inhabit it.

Then, they see their grand escape.

An Exorcist, so close to the edge, but they just need a little push.

An Exorcist so desperate enough to kill a traitor that they gave up apart of their body to try and catch them.

Their new target.

Their way out.

Lute.

They find her string, slowly pull it down to Hell, to Adam's, and ties them together.

If they can get Lute to give up all of her faith in heaven, and fall down to the void, they'd be free.

But, they see a string of theirs be lifted up to Heaven.

They try to grab at it, but it's no use.

From the muffled barrier, they can hear the squeal of a small Seraphim, and a very familiar hissing.
