Brew #339: Dot Brew & 12 Acres Brewing Co. Dot 12 Barrel Aged Imperial Rye
Abv: 9%
Served: Off the shelf
Aroma: Woody soil, spice, light caramel
Pour: Opaque, wisped and clouded dark, brownish amber with white froth reducing to a healthy skim.
Taste: Silken rich liquor wash with spice and bourbon background. Good hit of rye afterwards rushing into a soft malty bite with a slight alcohol tang underneath. Weird smack of candy in the aftertaste along with more bourbon and oak. Carbonation is soft and mouthfeel is oily. Good mix of sweet malt and spicy rye. Not too heavy for an imperial ale and goes down easy enough. Loving the sweet candy aftertaste as it goes along.
Notes: 330ml bottle
