Because I'm writing one! I'm finally turning my brainworms into something productive! The entire work is planned, and a significant portion of it is drafted. Updates come weekly! Summary: Demera has a simple life as a farmer and wouldn’t have it any other way (so she says). She’s sworn to use her powers as a witch to only nurture, but when she’s forced to defend everything she loves from a raw deal with Lone Wolves, she unearths a darker part of herself she buried long ago.

Forced to partner with a band of rogues and ruffians including the Lone Wolf who tried to take everything from her, she soon learns that when you bury something deep enough, it tends to take root.

Recently had a responsibility change at work, and it's busy season, AND I'm traveling. Y'all. It's a lot. BUT! You'll have a shiny new chapter within a week I promise! And it'll be the longest one yet. Woo!

Also, I try to post updates like this because I know longfics have a horrible reputation for dropping off. My life isn't conducive to weekly posts anymore, but this story is super important to me! Like I mention in my author's notes, the work is completely outlined and has an end. It's not indefinite; it's my intention to stick to a novel-like structure because that's what I personally enjoy reading.

I've been very lucky to have the readers that I do, so just wanted to throw out there that I appreciate your support and your patience!

Yeah we're up to chapter 10 now! 50k words, about 40k more to go! This has been so fun and I've loved how Demera has come together. She and Ifan deserve a little time to ogle each other. ;)

Also, I think I've finally settled into a good writing and releasing pace. Thanks for everyone sticking with me! <3

Vibes are witchy, naturally, and energy ranges from celtic vibes to kick ass empowerment. All songs are used in my summaries to set the vibe for the chapter!

Despite life throwing everything at me, I made my (self-imposed) Thursday deadline by 3 minutes! Woo!

This chapter is fun. I think one of my favorite parts that I've been learning about this whole writing process is that I really, really love alliteration. For some reason, the concept of it always seemed cringe, but I find myself using it more and more, even subconsciously. I think I definitely focused on content and action more so than technical writing in this chapter, though.
