okay so in this au, ryoga is george washington because he’s the one whose horses keep getting SHOT. he’s very upset about it. how is he supposed to win the revolution without a horse? he can’t. 

durbe is a french horse whisperer. he’s come all the way from france with the best horses. the most horse horses. the horses of freedom. he shows up during the battle of whatever with a new horse while ryoga is getting his ass kicked by the british.

“i’m your friend,” durbe says as he lifts ryoga into the saddle.

“let’s fuck up some redcoats,” ryoga replies. 

and here are the five headcanons:

1. durbe has a french accent 

2. ryoga is played by sebastian roche

3. they become barians because they’re mad about political parties (”I left this country alone for five minutes!”)
