Fabulous day...
It has been a great and sunny day in Bergen...not at all what they predicted on the weather forecast. I just investigated further, and they said that we will have loads of rain again tomorrow...but who knows.Â
It was porridge again for breakfast today, and I really think that it is growing on the girls. Less and less complaints ever single day. I had loads of apple- and pear pure mixed with the oats. Together of cinnamon and some brown sugar it was really tasty...even for a porridge-hater as myself.Â
We went out to the sports-stadium next to our hours just after breakfast, and the girls climbed the ropes...again. And they played in the forest....we even had a good climb. Once again they impressed me big time. I never though they would get all the way to the top without help, but they did it. When we were done climbing, picking flowers and stuff, we met up with Wenddy and Mathias for next-doors. The girls ate their lunch in the push-chair while we headed down town with them. I ended up buying a lot more then I thought I needed, but vegetables always come in handy.Â
When we got back home, Leah started to cry saying that she didn't want to go indoors. So I let them both play in the garden. We went next-doors and fed the rabbits just before we had to go inside and feed ourselves.Â
I made pork-chops, steamed vegetables, potatoes and home-made béarnaise sauce. For the first time since carrot pure, Leah ate all her carrots. Might have helped her that I said that they would be able to jump like rabbits if they did, but it didn't work on Lilly. She didn't touch them at all. But they both ate the potatoes with the sauce. Leah didn't touch the meet though, but I didn't expect that from either of them at all. So it was a bonus that Lilly had quite a few bits of it....
After dinner we went out and played in the garden, and ended up surprising Wenddy and Mathias. We snuck up on their terrace and knocked and their terrace-door. They both joined us outdoors and the children all played and had heaps of fun. When we headed home, Mathias was crying his eyes out as he didn't want it to come to an end.Â
As a bedtime-snack the girls ate yoghurt in witch I added banana, apples, kiwi and grapes. The girls absolutely loved it...they gulped it down straight away. Loads of mess as they dug the bits out with their fingers.Â
And since we had no time for nap-time today, both girls fell asleep straight away!
I promised to sew two head-bands for the girls for tomorrow, so that is what I have kept myself busy with since I tucked them in. Leah found one of mine in one of my drawers today, and she wanted to wear it. I couldn't find any of the others that I have, and Lilly got really upset that Leah had something that she didn't. So I had to pick out the stitches of the one I had (suck because it was a designer headband and did cost me quite a bit of money) and make two that looked more or less the same. I have to say that I am not very clever at sewing...I have made a few simple fleece-dresses for the girls, but I am absolutely a beginner. I don't even own a sewing-machine, but my mother lend me hers. It is probably as old as I am, and I have to say that it has seen better days. But I really want one of my own...
