hi! i just wanted to say how great i think happiness is. they’ve really been inspiring and have provided such neat approaches to making comics. i’ve always drawn but comics seemed (and still kind of seem) intimidating. it’s just nice to know the variety that’s possible in the comic scene. this is all just jibba jabba, i just wanted to say thanks for all the cool comics!

thanks for the kind words! that's great to hear. i think comic anthologies are great for that very reason. lots of different inspirations packed into one zine.
my thoughts on approaching comics as a beginner - pretend you are an 8-year-old child again where you just draw for pleasure and don't give a fuck about how good it comes out. the work just comes from raw excitement, inspiration, and imagination. eventually the more you make the better you will get at it, as long as you stay open to self critique. challenge yourself to draw things you are not comfortable drawing, create characters that don't necessarily represent you or your closest friends, places you might have only dreamed of, stories that intrigue. because that's the only way to get comfortable. draw shit you never draw. ps draw from life as much as possible.
are there any particular aspects of making comics that intimidate you though? let me know, maybe i can offer less vague advice.
