ok im v v v late on this #/dontjudgechallege but i just found out what this challenge was and i really want to say something. from what ive read, the purpose of the challenge was to bring positivity and raise awareness on the fact that acne, unibrows, and glasses are all normal and are perfectly ok to have. instead all i see is a bunch of people on twitter taking advantage of an opportunity to show off AND MOCK those who actually have it?? drawing on acne, a unibrow, wearing glasses, to seem funny, make jokes, and try to get retweets and favorites. it implies that those characteristics are "ugly" to begin with. it's offensive and hurtful to people who ACTUALLY have to deal with it everyday. i mean, believe it or not, having to look in the mirror when ur "flawed" (according to society,) can lower your self esteem to the point where you dont ever want to look at YOURSELF in the mirror, much less let anyone else see you. idk man it just kinda sucks seeing a tag that was intended to make people feel better, actually make them feel 10x worse. the purpose of the tag should be to say that YOU CAN BE AND ALREADY ARE beautiful with these, not that youd have to change your appearance to feel accepted. so heres what i think: for those of you struggling with acne: its totally normal and youre not alone! coming from someone who had to deal with cystic acne (and still has mild acne,) i know how it feels. youre beautiful and shouldnt feel the need to pack on layers of makeup to feel accepted and avoid judgement unless u want to (but yes its ok to wear makeup if u like it!) uninbrows: theyre normal and dont make u ugly. glasses: glasses are cool as fuck man. not only do they help u see better, but u can rock them too! dont be insecure about how you look with them any other physical flaw society has considered "ugly": EMBRACE THEM MAN YOURE ALL FLIPPIN GORGEOUS ALREADY
