It’s not often that I crochet a top where the neckline fits me perfectly. I have very narrow shoulders so most of my tops shift as I walk or move. Here’s a close-up……Take a look at the Don’t Scrap That Raglan by @crochethighway . For me, this neckline is perfect ‼️ I chose the “simple hem” neckline but there is also the option for a “ribbed” neckline as well. Ana-Maria’s patterns are so meticulous and detailed that even the finishing touches are perfection. Cotton Candy or Bubble Gum? I love❤️ how people’s minds work so differently.😉 I posted my #WIP for my Don’t Scrap That Raglan top @crochethighway to show ya’ll my work. #dontscrapthatraglan Ana-Maria very graciously shared my post in her stories mentioning that I looked like “cotton candy”. What a beautiful compliment (thank you 😘 so much), however it never occurred to me that the color reminded people of cotton candy….(which by the way is absolutely delicious😋.) Her comment got me thinking 🤔about this sweater from a different point of view and my thoughts went to💭💭💭💭 …..old fashion bubble gum… You know… 👋 that “Super Bubble” gum we used to get when we went through the 🏦 bank’s drive through window with our parents ‼️ I remember always sticking my head between my mom and the bank teller from the back seat to make sure they saw me and didn’t forget to put my “prize” with the returned transaction. BTW …..back in the 60’s and 70’s there was no such thing as car seats and you didn’t even need to wear seat belts …..How stupid 😲 was that!!!! I’m half way through sleeve island and still have some of the body to complete….but I still have to ask….. Today’s work in progress is the “Don’t Scrap that Raglan” by the talented @crochethighway The top was designed as a way to use up scrap yarn…which is smart because don’t we all have those scraps that we don’t know what to do with but don’t have the heart to just throw it away?🤔….or you can be made with one color…if you are like me and just need a reason to go yarn shopping!🤫 I’m telling you that Ana Maria’s testers are knocking this one out of the park with their amazing yarn combinations. I can’t believe those raglans are made with scraps😱…Keep checking #dontscrapthatraglan for updates on color inspirations Of course, I’m the one 🙋‍♀️ that likes to do things differently and decided to bring to you a solid color version of the design….just in case anyone wants to see how great this raglan looks in one color. 👍 How versatile can this design be?… 🔹it uses scrap yarn (or not) 🔸it’s size inclusive 🔹it has versions with ribbed cuffs, collar, and hem as well as a simple version of edgings if you choose not to have ribbing.
