Since they are on the WEST side, they are watching SUNSETS over the ocean, not sunrises. If they were in Kailua, on the EAST side of the island, they'd be watching SUNRISES over the ocean. Think long and hard and you'll figure it out. 🧐

As far as Sam is concerned, he's totally ISOLATED with Gia in a private house, and given how much home cooking they're doing, they're not putting anyone in danger by going out. They're being responsible and staying in. And given how much they're spending a day to stay there going on almost a month now, I'd say they're contributing pretty nicely to the economy of the island. Win/win.
