ahh hello renee i’ve been waiting for you

okay so: my favorite headcanon …. i also have quite a few that i really enjoy but i’m going to go ahead and say that my #1 complete favorite is jason parroting marvin for his first words because i think that’s SO SWEET 

other runner ups include:

tiny jason poking at marvin’s stretch marks and asking him how he got them because he thinks that they’re battle scars

marvin holding jason until he falls asleep every single night for Y E A R S and to go along with that marvin petting his hair and humming to him as he falls asleep

marvin bragging about jason to all the people at his work and jason coming in and sitting at his desk and shuffling around his papers because he’s working dad !!! look !!!

she’s a fussy little thing when she’s sleepy, the discomfort of exhaustion only managing to keep her awake and upset. poor godfather’s running out of ways to calm her down and put her to bed — the hour’s grown late, and parents will be home soon, expecting their child sound asleep. 

little arms tighten their hold on plush lamb, face burying in the soft wool as she squirms and tries to settle. she’s hesitant towards the offer – bedtimes stories are a privilege reserved for her father. but on the other hand, she’s fitful and distressed, and denying the story risks marvin opting to just leave in the hope that the lack of attention will succeed in getting her to finally sleep. 

but godfatther’s already anticipated her agreement, having settled down beside her with a picture book from off her bookshelf, and with a yawn, she moves to curl up against him, head resting against his arm.
