Do you even like yourself?
Most of the time. Guess it just depends on the day.
Recently, Love makes me Sick.
Recently love makes me sick.
I'm not talking about cute couples or their moments. I'm not talking about handholding, sharing moments, a goodnight text or a kiss before parting. I'm not talking about writing handmade letters to mail to your girlfriend, or making sure he gets the last piece of cake or even sharing it.
I'm not even talking about shoujo manga, anime romances or movie couples.
I'm talking about love-struck talk for a girl in "love" and making everything seem as if she's in a movie. Like this is the greatest love of her life and the most dramatic novel written. Writing poems and pieces about how "he likes the wind, because he is the wind" or "you were wrong, you are caring, more than you'll ever know." Like their life is a Korean drama and the guy is the love of her life. Living perfection with the sun in his hair.
He's not.
He's not f**king magical.
He's some f**king angel and this isn't a f**king movie.
Yes, he doesn't like you, and no, not every story is a melodramatic love story. Not every story has heart-wrenching lessons, lost love that brings tears that continue to flow, that belong in a vintage movie with the summer breeze going through your summer dress as you look up and ponder the love you had but could never convey or find a connection to. Doesn't mean he isn't a great guy, but:
You need to snap out of it.
Fall out of it. You might not think it possible. You might think you'll never "love" again, or it's an impossible task. But it's not.
You will get over him, but you're never going to be able to if you keep putting him in the center of universe or be like the Earth rotating around his Sun. You'll never be able to move past this unless you stop trying to play the daydreaming girl, the lovestruck teen, the rose-tinted glass bearer and see that though he is still great, you need to let go.
He's not your savior, nor are you his. He's not the only one, and you're not going to be forever alone. You fill find love in another road, another path in another setting. He is great, but his eyes are not the sun, his every word and motion not gospel.
He is just another human.
And all these words, these words of a girl still stuck in a love with the rose-tinted glasses who says one thing and then does another, they sicken me. I literally feel my stomach churn when I read such words that make me want to gag. Just stop it. Stop.
Every one of us is searching for love. But we also need to learn to let go when we need to. To not cling to closely to something that can never give us what we actually want. To not make something into something it isn't -- to deceive oneself or paint of fairytale of something that is simply reality.
