Simple Tips to Keep You Safe
Some of our friends and neighbors may be more susceptible to COVID-19. The CDC emphasizes that older individuals (over 60) and people with chronic health issues including heart disease, diabetes and lung disease are in this category.
If you’re at higher risk for illness, there are simple steps you can take to be safer.
Stock up on supplies, including medication. Please don’t hoard.
Follow the everyday preventive measures to keep space between you and others.
When you go out in public, keep away from others who are sick, limit close contact and wash your hands often.
Avoid crowds as much as possible.
Avoid cruises and nonessential air travel.
During a COVID-19 outbreak in your community, stay home to further reduce risk of exposure.
Reschedule elective or nonessential appointments.
If you are sick or experiencing symptoms, please call Floyd Valley Healthcare prior to your arrival so that our doctors, nurses and staff are prepared and can take precautions if necessary.
